Somniar ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Dream Entries

Your dream text is stored locally on your device. When you are signed in, dream entries are synced to our secure cloud infrastructure (Supabase, hosted in the European Union) so you can access them across devices.

Authentication

We offer sign-in via Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In. We receive only your user identifier and email address from these services. We do not collect your name, physical address, phone number, or financial information.

Voice Recordings

Voice input is processed entirely on your device using on-device speech recognition. Audio recordings are never uploaded to our servers or any third party.

Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymous usage data such as screen views, feature usage frequency, and crash reports. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally. No advertising identifiers are collected.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide dream analysis and symbol interpretation features
• To sync your dream journal across your devices
• To improve the app experience through anonymous analytics

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

3. AI Processing

When you request a dream analysis, your dream text, selected mood, and analysis context (such as symbol interpretations and optional personal reflections) are sent to our AI providers (Anthropic and/or OpenAI) for processing. Requests are routed through OpenRouter, an API routing service that directs requests to AI providers without storing your content. The AI providers process your data in real-time and do not retain your content after the analysis is complete. Your data is not used to train AI models.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Local data is protected by your device's built-in security features (passcode, biometric lock)
• Cloud data is stored in the European Union (Supabase) with strict access controls
• All data transmissions use TLS/SSL encryption
• Authentication is handled by industry-standard providers (Google, Apple)
• Your data is retained until you delete your account. Upon account deletion, all personal data, dream entries, and analysis history are permanently removed from our servers

5. Your Rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar regulations, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export your data
• Withdraw consent at any time

You can delete your account and all data directly from the app (Profile > Delete Account). This action permanently removes your dreams, profile, and analysis history from our servers.

6. Children's Privacy

Somniar is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating the effective date above.
